Transitioning what would normally be a 250-person, five-day, in-person event into a two-day virtual event was no small feat, but EPS rose to the challenge. We created a successful livestream experience with pre-produced elements, custom animations, live in-studio talent, live polling, on-demand videos, spotlight sessions, interstitial breaks, and we produced a full cooking competition show. Part of the overall creative package required a custom, branded soundstage with full broadcast capabilities that conveyed a consistent look and feel across two different locations.

Our client came to us with a great fundraising idea to get people moving, while also supporting hundreds of Maryland nonprofits during the pandemic. We created and produced a 12-hour exercise extravaganza, which enabled at-home viewers to work out along with the instructors, and donate via an integrated an online donation platform into our custom-built Elite Virtual Portal (EVP). EPS’ in-house studio was converted to an industrial-looking exercise studio, showcasing spinning classes, HIIT classes, Pilates classes, and more, while broadcasting continuously with interviews, custom shot video rolls, fundraising moments, instructor-led programs, and a live DJ to keep the energy going.

To set the pace for a new year, Under Armour’s 2020 Human Performance Summit launched the company’s new global brand platform. EPS executed a multi-location, four-day event combining live events, video podcast broadcast, and live-streaming moments around the globe, which included working with UA executives on branded presentations and video development and coordinating high profile athletes and A-list celebrities for on-camera moments. This event won a 2EX award for being a best practice Influencer Event for 2020.

One association desired to elevate its event from just talking heads to a fun, entertaining, energetic, and highly engaging experience for the live and at-home audiences. We helped them transform the LA Convention Center into a full performance stage, with broadcast-quality cameras and livestreaming capabilities, to accommodate the following elements—a live, local band’s choreographed performance of a custom-written song, which transitioned into a high-energy keynote address and ended with an academy awards ceremony that utilized all three screens and backstage entrances.

Collaborating with this pharmaceutical company for the past five years, in partnership with PRG, we branded and designed their bi-annual National Sales Meeting. At one of the meetings each year, EPS produces the client’s intricate and large awards evening gala, assisting with visual theme and message development and overall execution. This particular year, we helped them engage their inner Gatsby by transitioning the set design from day to night, with supporting graphics and animations to help make that transition into their awards look and feel, and helped coordinate the attendees’ transportation to an off-property after party with consistent visuals and execution.

As Executive Producer and Creative Director, the client challenged us to transform what would normally be a 5,500-attendee, five-day, in-person event into a two-week, interactive livestream event that ran on a custom-created portal. Our team captured more than 1500 hours of video footage recorded by top executives via remote video kits sent to multiple U.S. locations plus three international regions. With only eight days to edit the footage, we delivered 45 pre-recorded videos curated for livestream and on-demand replay and also designed, produced, and implemented four branded soundstages with direct camera crews, full broadcast capabilities, create custom animations, and custom support graphics for the executive team.

Structuring an annual sales meeting as a morning talk show while converting a ballroom into a TV studio was an amazing challenge, but we successfully built it with raised audience seating, jib and roving cameras, and full livestream broadcast capabilities. From initial theming to Broadway talent to set design to video production and animation, we visualized and scripted the entire event, creating many engaging and fun moments for both the in-studio and at-home audiences. Our talented on-site video crew created real-time stingers, opening videos, “up-next” transitions and, for the closing segment, a rock video that captured highlights from the entire week, giving the executives a chance to have fun and include the audience in a sing-a-long.

Overcoming two main challenges—transitioning an in-person event to a virtual one while also executing it in less than two weeks—could have been too much for another production company, but not us. We transitioned the Johns Hopkins Alumni Weekend Hullabalooza event, which would typically attract 12,000+ alumni from all over the globe to their Baltimore campus, into a virtual fundraiser and dance party with a live Facebook stream. Not only did we exceed their expectations, but we helped raise money for the alumni’s worthy cause.

Working on many different styles and types of events prepares us for pretty much anything, so when the opportunity to work on an event with a live audience AND broadcast out to millions across Netflix presented itself, we jumped on it. We converted an empty space into a custom-designed, fully-functional TV studio, ready for producing an eight-week series in just three days. We produced a show with a well-known TV host and multiple guests from all walks of life that was intimate enough for a talk show setting, but also conveyed well to a larger audience.

Recognizing a company’s top sales force through a luxury-trip experience creates a tremendous hurdle when you can’t travel due to a pandemic. But we view hurdles as opportunities to WOW our clients and their teams, so we worked to create an “Around the World” themed event to bring the world to the clients’ sales team—complete with A-List talent, amazing at-home gift boxes, and fun surprises throughout the event. Built in two studio locations, one in California and the other in our custom Baltimore studio, we created a fun, engaging, and entertaining 90-minute livestream event that thrilled the client with “how seamless the whole process was, from script writing to the day of the event.”
