Three Questions We Ask During Global Site Visits

We have successfully designed and produced live events all over the world. Our experience has taught us several key questions to ask when conducting a site visit in another country. Here, we outline three of the questions we explore when helping clients plan an overseas event.

  1. Do Language Considerations Exist? Being able to effectively communicate with the local crews supporting your event is critical. We always connect our creative, technical, and production team leads with the key personnel at the venue to create seamless communications during every phase—from pre-planning to execution.
  2. Is Necessary Equipment Available Internationally? We request complete and detailed equipment lists from all vendors. Many items that are essential to a successful event aren’t used internationally, so we review all equipment prior to arriving on location to protect our clients from surprises, which can be costly.
  3. What is the Country's Rigging Policies? We always confirm that rigging needs, including Internet and power, are planned out in advance. This allows us to evaluate what other equipment, such as generators to supplement venue power, is required to seamlessly support the client's desired production elements.
